I will provide a style guide before the shoot with clothing and hair/makeup recommendations so you can look your absolute best the day of. Get plenty of sleep the night before a shoot. I know the wait is exciting, but dark circles and low energy are not the vibe. Hydrate and try to lower your salt intake the week of the shoot as well to keep your skin glowing. If you want to use self tanner, start it a week before the session to allow a margin of error. Bring powder or blotting paper for the session (that goes for everybody!) and please PLEASE make sure your nails are groomed and tidy. Feel free to bring snacks and water as needed and remove any hair ties from your wrists!

Prepare for a fun time! I will have a speaker to play your favorite tunes so we can set the best vibes. At family sessions I let the youngest members of the group lead the shoot to take the stress off. If you have outfit changes scheduled for your session, I also have a changing tent available for your comfort. I promise lots of laughter, genuine smiles (no forced emotions here!), and a good time all around.

I pride myself on pricing my sessions thoughtfully. I’m not a one size fits all photographer who simply slaps on a filter to each picture and calls it a day. I take my time to select and hand edit each photo with individualized touches to be sure that each photo represents what you look like on your best day. For example: blemishes, stains, and flyaways would be edited out; but any tattoos, scars, or birthmarks that you want to show will stay with your consent. There are smaller packages and bundles available, please see lucky number 7.

I have a list of my favorite spots in the lowcountry, but I’m happy to work with you to find your dream location within the greater Charleston area. I also have a studio available if that is more your style, please let me know when you book and I’ll make it happen! Please note, studio sessions have an added fee that goes directly to the studio.

Typically on-location sessions run about one hour, but I like to keep it flexible because some days we all just need a little extra time to feel comfortable in front of the camera. Studio sessions are by the hour though, so I have to keep to the clock if that is where you’d prefer to shoot.

I’ve found the best weeks to shoot moms-to-be are between 30 and 36 weeks, that way you are still feeling your best and your bump shines!

I currently offer smaller packages for Headshots. I also offer a bundle for Maternity, Breastfeeding, and Newborn sessions, so please send me a message and I will be happy to work with you on that! Follow my social pages for upcoming mini sessions.

In my years as a photographer I have learned one thing, lighting is KEY! Sunrises and sunsets provide us with soft, beautiful lighting and golden hour opportunities so that you look your best from every angle.
